Does the job reliably and fast.

Four years ago, wife's folks got us a fantastic vacuum -- but it was huge and heavy. It worked well for the small 1-bedroom apartment we lived in at the time... but a year or two ago we purchased a small cape cod. It's much more vertical, with carpeted stairs to worry about. One of mammoth-vac's internals had broken anyway, and it no longer cut the mustard.

Fortunately there's a fantastic old-school vacuum sales/repair shop a mile down the road. The gentleman there turned us on to this lightweight (but heavy duty) gem. Handle folds down to make stair-vacuuming easy on the back, the selectable brush makes it easy to handle both the hardwood first floor and the carpeted second floor, and the cord is long enough that we can manage 75% of the house without plugging into a different outlet. Suction is not a problem; it made short work of the needles left behind by our Christmas tree last weekend. No belt: if the roller hits something it doesn't like, the resettable fuse trips and all is well. Said roller is super easy to clear of wrapped long hair with a $3 seam ripper from a craft store. My only wish is that the brush attachment didn't fall so easily off of its perch above the hose.

No beefs. This vacuum does the trick for us. If you need something lightweight and don't ever want to have to worry about it breaking, it'll probably work for you too.

This is the only vacuum I will ever buy!

I LOVE this vacuum. I purchased my first one after talking to my carpet cleaning guy. I have dogs, cats & rabbits so cleaning up the pet hair is a constant battle! I asked him what vacuum he would recommend for the hair. He said the only kind of vacuum that will do a good job is a commercial vacuum.

I searched online and decided to purchase this one because it was a smaller size, came with attachments & had decent reviews everywhere. Since my first one, I have purchased 3 more (1 for every floor & one for a friend.) The bags are pricier than a household vacuum & they fill up pretty quickly so you use more. BUT, one of the reasons you use more is because this vacuum really does do the work & it picks up a lot more dirt. Anyone I know that has used my vacuum has asked where they can buy one because it does such a great job & is easy to use.

I would have rated this vacuum 5 stars but I gave it 4 stars for these minor annoyances:
-expensive bags
-flimsy filter
-cord gets in the way
(I cable tied it to the handle to make it stay)
-the attachments hook to the vacuum in an inconvenient way

I still highly recommend it!
